Salon Appointment & Cancellation Policy

Our goal is to provide quality hairstyling services in a timely manner. To serve every client efficiently and make the best use of our available appointment times, we have established the following appointment and cancellation policy.

Parking, Waiting Area & Guests

Parking and waiting space are limited. Please arrange transportation in advance. Using public transportation or being dropped off by family or friends is strongly encouraged.

Please do not arrive early. When you arrive, call or text us and wait for instructions before entering.

Do not bring additional guests unless they are also receiving services. Guests who are not being serviced may be asked to leave because our waiting area has limited space.

Please note that we are no longer at our previous salon location. Our current salon is approximately five minutes away from the old location.

Cancellation Policy

If you cannot attend your appointment, please call the salon promptly so that your appointment time can be offered to another client.

All deposits are nonrefundable. However, if you cancel no later than 6:00 PM on the day before your appointment, your deposit may be applied as a credit toward one rescheduled appointment.

Late cancellations will be treated as a no-show and the deposit will be forfeited.

No-Show Policy

A no-show occurs when a client misses an appointment without canceling by 6:00 PM on the day before the scheduled appointment.

Failure to arrive for your scheduled appointment will be recorded as a no-show, and your deposit will be forfeited. Late cancellations are also considered no-shows.

Remaining Balance

Your remaining balance is the amount still owed after your deposit has been deducted.

We prefer that the remaining balance be paid in cash. Please bring the exact amount, as change may not be available. A transaction fee will be added when using other payment methods.

After sending your deposit, please call or text us with information about your desired hairstyle and scheduled service time. Our online booking calendar displays the available dates and appointment times for your convenience.

How to Care for Your Hair After Braiding

Keep your scalp clean and comfortable by gently cleansing it when needed with a diluted shampoo or braid-friendly scalp cleanser. Avoid scratching with your nails, which can irritate or damage the scalp. After cleansing, dry your braids completely to prevent odor, mildew, and product buildup.

Moisturize your natural hair and scalp regularly with a lightweight braid spray, leave-in conditioner, or small amount of light oil. Avoid heavy grease and excessive products because they can cause buildup, itching, and flaking. Protect your edges by avoiding tight ponytails, heavy buns, and styles that create additional tension.

Before sleeping, cover your braids with a satin or silk bonnet or scarf, or use a satin pillowcase to reduce friction and frizz. Refresh loose edges gently without excessive pulling. Do not keep braids installed longer than recommended by your stylist; remove them carefully, detangle patiently, and give your natural hair proper cleansing, conditioning, and rest afterward.

Prepare Your Hair Before Getting Braids

Begin with freshly washed hair and a clean scalp. Shampoo thoroughly to remove dirt, sweat, excess oil, and product buildup. Use a clarifying shampoo if you regularly apply heavy gels, oils, edge control, or styling creams. Clean hair helps reduce itching, allows cleaner parting, and provides a healthier foundation for longer-lasting braids.

After washing, deep-condition your hair to restore moisture, strengthen the strands, and reduce breakage. Detangle gently, beginning at the ends and working toward the roots with your fingers, a wide-tooth comb, or a detangling brush. Apply only a lightweight leave-in conditioner, avoid heavy grease, and consider trimming rough or split ends before your appointment.

Ask your braider whether your hair should be stretched or blow-dried, since preparation may depend on your hair type and selected style. If heat is recommended, use a low setting to avoid damage. Bring two or three inspiration pictures showing your preferred braid size, length, color, and parting pattern so your stylist can confirm whether the style is appropriate for your natural hair.
